Boiler installation, service and repair
Getting your boiler serviced annually is highly recommended so that important safety and maintenance checks can be carried out.  These checks will identify if there are any serious issues with your boiler such as a carbon monoxide leak.  Carbon monoxide is an odourless, colourless and very dangerous gas.  If the flame in your boiler is orange instead of blue it is a good idea to get it checked out, even if it is not due for a service.

A regular service will also ensure the longevity of your boiler, keep it running efficiently so your heating bills are not increased and will also validate your boiler warranty if it is still in place.

​As well as annual servicing, replacing your existing boiler or completing a full boiler installation is something that Duncan can carry out for you.  Please get in touch and he can discuss the best system to suit your needs.

If your boiler stops working for any reason, he will come out to you as soon as possible to get it back up and running. He is a fully qualified gas engineer and is registered with Gas Safe (Registration number: 637773)

 

Bathroom Installations
Duncan no longer carries out bathroom or wet room installations, however he recommends visiting a bathroom showroom who can recommend a bathroom fitter.

 

Central Heating & Power Flushing
From changing radiator valves to complete re-pipes, Duncan will ensure that your central heating is running efficiently and reliably.  Power-flushing is used to clean out your central heating should you have cold spots on your radiators.  This is an effective way of prolonging the life of your central heating system.

 

Showers
If you are looking for a new shower or would like to replace or repair the one you have, Duncan will certainly be able to help you with this.  Please note new electric showers will also need an electrician for the installation.  Duncan has a network of trusted tradesmen and will be able to organise this for you.

Boiling water taps
Fancy your boiling water straight from a tap instead of the kettle? Duncan is experienced in fitting various brands of boiling water tap, including the popular Quooker tap which has a wide range of options including sparkling water.

 

Leaks & Repairs
From a dripping tap to a burst water pipe, Duncan will aim to get to you as soon as possible.  He has the relevant tools and a fully equipped van so that these unforeseen circumstances can be fixed quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption to you.  He offers a 24 hour emergency service in case you have a severe water leak or a flood during the evening or at night.

 

Tanks & Hot Water Cylinders
Duncan has completed many tank and cylinder changes in his plumbing career and is able to offer advice regarding the most suitable tank for your needs.  A hot water cylinder change would normally be completed in one day.  He is fully qualified in the repair and installation of unvented hot water cylinders.

 

Drainage
Blocked sinks, toilets, showers and drains are a common problem for most households and can cause a huge amount of inconvenience. Duncan can clear these by either 'rodding' them or by use of chemicals, therefore allowing your water to flow freely once more.

 

Taps
Duncan can supply and fit replacement taps or re-washer and service an existing.  If you would like to exchange a tap like for like, please feel free to send in a photo and he will do his best to source a match for you.  Duncan will always recommend using quality taps and fittings to ensure the reliability for this frequently used item.
